Eudald Carbonell i Roura, archaeologist, was born in Ribes de Freser (Gerona), on February 17, 1953.
Since 1999, he has held the chair of prehistory at the Rovira i Virgili University. In addition, he is a researcher at the Catalan Institute of Human Paleoecology and Social Evolution (IPHES), co-director of the Atapuerca Project and vice president of the Atapuerca Foundation.
Its most outstanding scientific milestones are the creation of a prehistoric technology analysis system called "logical-analytical system" and the study of the ancient settlement of the Iberian Peninsula.
